Brain Surgery Offers Physician/Patient Dialogue Monitor®

Atlanta, GA - Brain Surgery Worldwide, announced today that they will offer a service aimed at understanding the emotion based issues during the physician and patient dialogue.

John Carr, CEO of Brain Surgery said "Understanding the dialogue between the physician and the patient adds context to our messaging work. The perfect message strategy can be enhanced or sabotaged by what takes place in this dialogue. As a firm that is focused on strategic messaging, Brain Surgery has decided to begin monitoring this dialogue and create a language database."

Brain Surgery has observed that the "Dialogue" has a number of subjects, some spoken and many not spoken and they include the following:

  • The Physician Issues
  • The Patient Issues
  • The Treatment Issues/Including "the drug"
  • "How To" Issues
  • The Goals
  • Interpersonal Issues

"Many of our clients have asked for us to add the dialogue component to our existing work and we have found it very valuable in understanding some new communication and messaging barriers and opportunities, said Stephen M. Blaising, Vice Chairman. This tool allows us to further develop our language database which is very valuable to our clients. Specifically we want to know: What subjects are being discussed and which are motivating and which are inhibiting? What language is being used during the dialogue? What is the meaning? What is the "net take away" for both the physician and patient? Are they in sync? What were their expectations before the dialogue", said Blaising.

The Dialogue Monitor is planned to be conducted twice a year by disease state. Brain Surgery will uncover; what is being said, what is being heard, what topics do the physicians want to cover, how important is each, what are they really able to cover, how motivating is each topic for each audience, and what ideally do they each want covered?
